This website is operated by N0xshell, a private individual, as a personal and non-commercial project. You can contact me through Discord (see the link in the footer).

Data Processed

When you visit the website, the web server records the following for each page request:

  • your IP address and the country derived from it
  • the requested page, the date and time (UTC) and the response status
  • the referring website and your browser's user agent

When you use the search in the Commands Reference, the search term and your IP address are recorded. Images, scripts and style files are not logged. IP addresses are personal data under the GDPR.

A few request paths that only automated scanners use, such as fake login pages and configuration file locations, are answered by a decoy service. Requests to those paths are written to a separate security log: your IP address and country, the date and time (UTC), the full request including anything submitted, and your user agent. This log is deleted after 30 days as well.

Purpose and Legal Basis

The data is processed to keep the website secure (detecting scans and attacks) and to produce basic visitor statistics. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in the security and operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Retention

Server logs are deleted automatically after 30 days. IP addresses of sources that repeatedly attacked the website may be kept on a blocklist for longer, for as long as needed to keep the website secure.

Recipients

The logs are stored on my own server and are accessible only to me. The country lookup runs locally, so your IP address is not sent to an analytics service. The data is not sold, shared for advertising or used for profiling. Two service providers process data on my behalf:

  • Cloudflare delivers the website and processes requests as a proxy, under its own privacy policy.
  • A secure messaging service is used to deliver security alerts to me.

Cookies and Third-Party Content

This website sets no cookies and loads no third-party scripts.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict its processing and to object to it. To exercise these rights, contact me on Discord and include the IP address concerned, so that I can find the relevant log entries. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
